Early Starts for 'Sucker Punch' stars Age: 26 Jena was 9 when she convinced her mother to move from Las Vegas to Los Angeles so she could pursue acting. After a few early jobs (including a Michael Jackson music video), she made her film debut in "Bastard Out of Carolina," for which she was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award.
Jena's big break came when she was cast as the 12-year-old version of Jodie Foster's character in director Robert Zemeckis' "Contact," based on the novel by Carl Sagan. In the movie's opening shot, digital effects changed the color of Jena's brown eyes to blue so they would match Foster's
