Rosslare is a likely location for the five-week shoot with a budget will be around €2.5m.

The film is being produced by Luc Roeg's Independent Films, the group behind We Need To Talk About Kevin. The Irish Film Board provided funding to the project which is due for release in 2013. Carey Mulligan To Perform ‘New York, New York’ In Steve McQueen’s ‘Shame’ with Michael Fassbender.The film will premiere at the Venice Film Festival in just over a week’s time before moving onto the Toronto and, of course, New York Film Festivals. Colin Firth is rumored to be co-starring with Carey Mulligan in a new remake adaptation of My Fair Lady, which Keira Knightley was formerly attached to, but had to drop out due to film taking so long to get into production...it's still not in production.
