On TV Tonight: Watch the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards

While UK Fans are lucky to be seeing the Season 2 premiere of Downton Abbey tonight on ITV as well as its competition Spooks (aka MI-5 in the U.S., which our Matthew Macfadyen was an original cast member along with his real-life wife, actress Keeley Hawes at the first few seasons of the long-running British spy drama series before he was cast in Pride & Prejudice) with the premiere of the first episode (of six) of its 10th and final season on BBC. Well, here in the U.S., The 63rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards is on tonight starting at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Fox with host Jane Lynch aka Glee's (Sue Sylvester). Downton Abbey, The Pillars of the Earth, and Any Human Heart nominated for 2011's Primetime Emmy Awards

The 63rd Primetime Emmy Nominations has just been announced today and the following period dramas/miniseries (starring a few of our favorite P&P actors) are nominated such as Downton Abbey (Penelope Wilton) with 11 nominations, The Pillars of the Earth (Matthew Macfadyen and Donald Sutherland) with 7, and Any Human Heart (Matthew Macfadyen and Tom Hollander) with 4 nominations. Tom Hollander's 'Rev.' series renewed for season 2 and won TV BAFTA's 'Best Situation Comedy' award

According to Digital Spy, Tom Hollander's Rev. series was officially renewed last month. BBC Two has ordered a second series of the comedy Rev. The show, which stars Tom Hollander and Olivia Colman, focuses on the struggles of an inner-city vicar.

Tom Hollander teases 'Rev.' series two

Tom Hollander has dropped hints about what fans can expect in the second series of Rev.

The show, which won 'Best Situation Comedy' at last night's Philips British Academy Television Awards, was officially renewed last month.

Speaking to Digital Spy on the BAFTA red carpet, Hollander explained that the new episodes will feature "more trials and tribulations" for Adam.

"Just ups and downs," he continued. "But also all the other characters you get to know much better. [There are] marvellous things for the archdeacon and for Nigel. You get to know Nigel much better. You get to know Alex better. And Colin, of course. You just go further into the world."

Hollander also revealed that he was "excited" but "bemused" to learn that the Archbishop of Canterbury is a fan of the show.

"We're very thrilled," he said. "And slightly embarrassed because we're not God Squad particularly, although we're becoming a bit more God Squad for some reason."

New 'The Three Musketeers 3D' production stills featuring Matthew Macfadyen

Constantin Film (via The Hollywood Reporter and Promis Inside) has just released several new stills from the upcoming 3D reboot of Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers starring Matthew Macfadyen (Athos), Milla Jovovich (M'Lady De Winter), Logan Lerman (D'Artagnan), Ray Stevenson (Porthos), and Luke Evans (Aramis). 

The Three Musketeers is scheduled to open on October 14, 2011.

Preview: 'Any Human Heart' on PBS Masterpiece Classic

After watching and featuring here last month's , which was a big success in both the UK's ITV and the US' PBS Masterpiece classic. It's time for another period drama for the month of February!

This time, I'm eagerly anticipating Any Human Heart, which stars our very own Matthew Macfadyen (Mr. Darcy) and Tom Hollander (Mr. Colins), former P&P co-stars in their 4th TV and film projects (Any Human Heart, Pride & Prejudice, Enigma, Maybe Baby) they appeared and co-starred together, will premiere Sunday night, February 13th on PBS Masterpiece Classic!
